This is a Medicine Mendala. It is intended that this object be a focus of healing meditation. The word Mendala was coined by Carl Jung who also conceived of the idea of Universal Unconscious - the life force that joins us all. This mendala is from Buddhists in Finland. Finland is also a place of high MS incidence. Many things connect us together.
